Inside Brutal Fruit’s Pink Table: From Milan Fashion Week to Lake Como

Milan Fashion Week, Italian luxury and your best friend by your side. Brutal Fruit took The Pink Table to Italy for an unforgettable celebration of fashion, culture and sisterhood — and CultureCollecter was on the ground to capture it all.

From 25–28 September 2026, Milan became the backdrop for a four-day experience that brought together South African competition winners and their besties, alongside creators, media personalities and guests from across Africa and Brazil.

But beyond the beautiful destinations and exclusive experiences, this trip had a bigger purpose: celebrating the friendships that make life’s most memorable moments worth sharing.

An Italian Welcome Worth Remembering

The journey began with a taste of authentic Italian hospitality.

At Nonnas, guests gathered over generous plates of food, conversation and laughter, setting the tone for the days ahead.

What made this experience particularly special was that Brutal Fruit’s competition winners weren’t travelling alone. Each winner had the opportunity to bring her best friend along for the journey.

And in a destination like Milan, having your favourite person beside you changes everything.

For CultureCollecter, documenting these moments offered a glimpse into how The Pink Table was bringing women together beyond the usual social setting.

Where Fashion, Music and Culture Collided

Of course, you can’t visit Milan during Fashion Week without stepping into the world of Italian fashion.

Guests experienced the Barbara Rizzi fashion show, where Brutal Fruit featured as the official drinks partner, connecting the brand with a female-led Italian luxury label known for its craftsmanship and contemporary designs.

The journey continued at Museo Bagatti Valsecchi, where centuries of Italian art, history and design provided another striking backdrop.

And the experience wasn’t limited to fashion.

A 19-member performance ensemble led by pianist Julian Cohen brought an unforgettable musical element to the occasion, with performances ranging from Bella Ciao to Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody.

Throughout the experience, Brutal Fruit L’Orange Rossa, inspired by the Italian Riviera, added another touch of Italian influence.

It was a meeting of fashion, music, heritage and modern culture, all woven into one experience.

From Milan to the Magic of Lake Como

Just when the experience seemed to have reached its peak, the journey moved beyond Milan to the breathtaking shores of Lake Como.

At Villa Regina Teodolinda in Laglio, approximately 75 guests from around the world gathered for a special edition of The Pink Table.

Surrounded by beautiful gardens, historic architecture and views of the lake, the setting offered a more intimate atmosphere for women to connect through food, music and conversation.

Hosted by global MC and moderator Crystal Kwame-Aryee, The Pink Table became the centrepiece of the experience.

It wasn’t simply about gathering at a beautiful destination. It was about bringing women from different backgrounds into the same space, creating opportunities for meaningful connections and shared memories.

More Than a Destination: The Power of Sisterhood

From behind the camera, one thing became clear throughout the journey: the locations were extraordinary, but the connection between the women was what gave the experience its meaning.

For the CultureCollecter team, documenting The Pink Table offered a perspective on how a proudly South African-born platform continues to find its place on the global cultural stage.

From South Africa to Paris and now Milan, Brutal Fruit is taking its celebration of friendship into new destinations while keeping sisterhood at the centre of the experience.

And that’s what made this particular journey stand out.

The fashion, the music, the Italian hospitality and the beauty of Lake Como all formed part of the story.

But ultimately, it was about giving women access to unforgettable moments — and someone special to share them with.

Because friendship was the occasion. Milan was the destination.

CultureCollecter was on the ground in Milan, documenting Brutal Fruit’s Pink Table experience through original photography, video and editorial coverage.
