South African hip-hop standout Usimamane officially releases his new EP, Baby Tai—a focused, confident body of work that captures ambition, hunger, and forward momentum at a pivotal moment in his career.
Released under Gamma.Africa, the six-track project arrives alongside its hard-hitting lead single “Racks,” an unapologetic money anthem aimed squarely at go-getters, self-starters, and anyone locked into the grind.
“Racks is all about money, drive, and mindset,” says Usimamane. “That’s why I’m dropping it early in the year—it’s motivation for everyone who’s tryna get paid.”
The track draws inspiration from a defining meeting with global hip-hop heavyweight Rick Ross in January last year—an encounter that sharpened Usimamane’s focus and reinforced a disciplined, results-driven mentality. “All we spoke about was getting to the money by all means necessary,” he adds.
