What does KayXKnighT represent ?
KayXKnighT represents a small local brand that serves it’s community with premium quality clothes although the end goal for the brand is to be a high-end South African Fashion brand like Maxhosa Africa, Rich Mnisi & Thebe Magugu.
KayXKnighT’s Autumn/Winter 2021 & Spring/Summer 2022 collection features select garments that have been mainly inspired by a lot of UK fashion and brands such as Represent, Off-White, Fear Of God, Heron Preston, Yeezy, Places+Faces & Palace. Their garments are either easy on the eye, or very eye catching. KayXKnighT incorporates that aesthetic into their latest collections with a main focus of producing Quality and attractive garments.
The beginning of KayXKnighT’s SS22 collection was a Cape Town based release following their official store launch in Cape Town.
The goal for KayXKnighT’s SS22 collection was to keep finding a better and improved range of quality for their garments. Even if it meant taking a longer time period to source premium quality material in order to launch their new collection.

With the pandemic impacting the African Fashion landscape for brands like KayXKnighT this serves as an opportunity to expand and establish a global digital presence because everything moving online due to Covid-19.
A lot of African brands have been able to connect with the rest of the world through digital channels like social media and online projects. With social media being a powerful tool for small business people have been able invest more attention towards African brands throughout the pandemic.
