THE PUMA X COTTON FEST DROP
PUMA and the Cotton Fest team have announced the introduction of the new PUMA x Cotton Fest F.C. collection, which will be available tomorrow, September 22nd.
The collection’s DNA is rooted in 90’s football jerseys that have become classic fashion statement items, and it was designed in partnership with Riky Rick and inspired by the sport aspect of the festival’s “University of Cotton Fest” collegiate theme.
“We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to be able to bring Riky’s final collection to market.
Riky was hands on with this collection and its Cotton Fest F.C. vibe, as he is with everything he does “PUMA South Africa Sportstyle Marketing Manager Hayden Manuel stated.
As part of the announcement, PUMA has pledged a R100,000 stipend for final-year AFDA students to address financial deficits and help them graduate.
“Because the arts were important to Riky, and he was an AFDA student, we and Riky’s family felt that helping the students would be an acceptable way to honor his memory,” Manuel added.
An amazing marketing campaign featuring Riky’s wife Bianca, children Maik and Jordan, his brothers Themba, Toby, and Sheikani, as well as the rest of the Cotton Fest gang, is supporting the capsule collection.
“Building on Riky’s legacy of providing a platform for young creatives, our family wholeheartedly supports the campaign, particularly the bursary and giving back to students.”
“We are also pleased about the range finally coming to life and being ready to go to market,” said Bianca Naidoo.
